Less Crying, More Writing

God told me throughout my trip back in Memphis to continue writing my book. This was especially the case after the agent "rejected" my book idea. I disobeyed and delayed the process. I kept putting it off. I was so angry with God. I had a bad attitude about it. But God always gets His way.

If God tells you to do something, just do it. Even when you do not feel like doing so. Trust me when I tell you there is something on the other side.

It is Friday. It is labor day weekend. I am going to continue rewriting my manuscript. I am working on Chapter 2 and 3 of A Pressing Emergency but before I do that, I need to look at an outline I made a while ago.

This is a screenshot of my outline that I made back in July. It is ok as a writer to have an outline and deviate from it. I use it to help me have some structure. Ultimately I always let the Holy Spirit flow in my writing.

One time in my old manuscript I typed "There was a hopelessness in the world with no one or anything to turn to". I am going to ensure that it is incorporated in the new manuscript and God willing the final manuscript. Though a simple statement, it is a true even for a written work of Christian futuristic speculative fiction.

Jesus Christ called Himself "the light of the world" and he is called "Or Blessed Hope" for a reason.

Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit. Please give me the strength to continue writing even in the hardest of days. May your power influence everything I handwrite and type for this book. May this offering and worship be pleasing unto You. May I complete this work as you had relayed unto my spirit earlier this year. As You said "the book is done when I am satisfied".
