About Maria

Maria S. Santana is a passionate author who uniquely blends Christian faith with science fiction. Born to Dominican immigrants, she is a lifelong resident of the South Bronx, a New York City borough. From an early age, Maria held a love for writing—exploring everything from essays and articles to short stories, while engaging deeply with topics such as politics, history, fashion, and even conspiracy theories.

Maria writes with a strong sense of purpose, believing she was called by God from the foundation of the world to be His scribe (Genesis 1:1). She proudly embraces her role as His servant and is currently working on a dystopian science fiction novel set in the late 21st century. Her work weaves a powerful narrative of Christ’s redemption while offering thoughtful commentary and critique on public policy and social issues both in the United States and around the world.

Through her writing, Maria hopes to plant seeds of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and inspire readers to reflect on faith, truth, and the future of humanity.

She holds an undergraduate degree in History with a minor in Human Rights from Hunter College, as well as a graduate degree in Labor Studies from the CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies.
